September IPSY Bag 2014 Review

Hello beautiesssss

"The trick is to enjoy life. Don't wash away your days waiting for better ones ahead."

If you do not know what IPSY is, refer to this post of when I first featured it on my blog. I explained there what it is and my experience with it. To explain it briefly, its a $10 monthly subscription bag where I receive a variety of makeup, haircare, and skincare products. It is a great way for me to experiment and try out new and different products that I never would have otherwise, for an affordable price.

This month, I received this really cute silver bag with cute studs. Inside, I received this Mitchell and Peach hand cream, which is considered a luxury hand cream on their website. However, I truly believe that the lotions from Bath and Body Works is better quality than this one. It doesn't have a pleasant smell in my opinion and although it is moisturizing, I find that the lotions from Bath and Body Works have a better long lasting moisturizing quality. I also received this Nourish Organic Face Wash and I am also not the biggest fan of this product either. It started breaking me out and I am not sure why considering its suppose to have natural and organic ingredients. So I am definitely staying away from this face wash and sticking to my skin care that works really well for me right now.

I also received this dual ended Crown brush which I am so thrilled about because I have been meaning to try out crown brushes for quite some time now! I have heard that they are comparable to Sigma brushes which I am such a fan of! Also, I received this Pacifica eyeliner in guru metal. I have received a few Pacifica beauty products from my previous IPSY bags and I have found that they are either a hit or a miss. This eyeliner in particular is a definite hit! I swatched it in the picture below and it glides so smoothly and its so pigmented. The only thing I do not like about this eyeliner is the packaging. The lid comes off easily and its not retractable so its an old school eyeliner where you would have to sharpen it every time you use it. Now, the product that I was most excited to receive in this month's bag is this Cailyn tinted lip gloss in Love Affair. It is the perfect berry lip colour for this fall season and I am obsessed with it. However, the gloss appearance of the lipgloss doesn't last very long, but it does leave my lips with a nice berry tint colour (also swatched in the picture below).

If any of you love trying out new products for an affordable price, I would highly encourage trying out IPSY! It is a great and easy way to receive a variety of cosmetics for an affordable price.

Thanks for reading & I hope you enjoyed!

  7. That's a shame Nourish broke you out; I'd definitely think that the natural nature of it would help to prevent that. Hmm. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯

  8. I love Sigma brushes but not their price, so I'll have to research this Crown line and see if it compares. And thank you for your truthful review--based on all the reviews I've read, it seems that I'll pass on Ipsy.
