Honest Review: KKW x Kylie Cosmetics

Hello beautiesss
I had my eyes on this palette the moment I saw Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner teased it all over their social media. Nude lipsticks are just totally me and no matter how many coloured lipsticks I buy, I always reach for my nudes. I was lucky enough to be able to get my hands on this the day it was released. I literally had an alarm set on my phone and everything haha. I was preparing myself for it to sell out really quickly (which it did) so I wanted to make sure I was ready.
What automatically intrigued me about this lip kit is that they are lip creme. It's different than any other lip kits that Kylie has come out with because they were generally matte lipsticks or lip glosses. These ones are a lip creme, which are very comfortable to wear on the lips. However, one major downfall with these lip formulas are that they are not long lasting or transfer proof whatsoever. While they are comfortable to wear on the lips, I'm not crazy about a lip product that literally wears away after half an hour and requires continuous re-applying. This lip kit cost me $70 CAD, excluding taxes and shipping. That's about $17.50 CAD for each lipgloss. Some would say that the price is reasonable but to me, they are not. They would be if the quality was there.

For me, these lip cremes applied so patchy and unevenly. I had to keep re-applying after every half hour because it would just wear away. I love the colours, and I do believe that they are suitable for just about anybody. However, for me, I just have other lip glosses that I would rather reach for. Since I bought this lip kit, it has just been sitting on my vanity since, untouched. I tried two colours and I just didn't like the way they applied and I was unpleased that they would wear away so easily.
I'm so bummed that these lip cremes didn't work out for me because I was so excited about them. I love the idea of them. They are a lip creme formula, almost as if they were a really pigmented lip gloss and more of a creme formula than a lipstick. The colours are absolutely stunning and ones that would be suitable for everybody. Nudes are easy because they match with any makeup style and always complete a makeup look. Again, I love the idea of this lip kit, I just wish it worked out for me.

One thing I truly loved about this lip kit is the packaging. I think they did a great job and the box it came in was so heavy duty. I love the nude colour scheme of the packaging and how well it suited with the four shades. I love that they kept everything in the nude theme because it made it much more appealing to me. Nudes will forever be the most eye catching makeup. I'm sad this lip kit didn't work out for me, but I'm sure they are worthy for others! :)
P.S. I am seeing this lip kit for $60 CAD! It has been untouched since I bought it and gently used two out of the four colours. I can send more pictures if asked! Email me, if interested :)

Thanks for reading & I hope you enjoyed!
